iep software package provides Interactive Editor for Python (Python 3), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install iep
iep is installed in your system.
Make ensure the iep package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep iep *
You will get with iep package name, version, architecture and description in a table
